Unleashed Software n8n integrationAutomate Unleashed Software with n8n.

Need Unleashed stock and order data inside a workflow? The Unleashed Software n8n integration is a read-only node: 3 operations spread over 2 resources, Sales Order and Stock On Hand. No trigger ships for this tool, so a Schedule Trigger or a webhook starts the run. Written for ops and supply teams.

Why automate

What does the Unleashed Software n8n integration actually do?

It is a node that ships with n8n, calls the Unleashed API from inside a workflow, and hands the answer to the next step. Two resources are covered, Sales Order and Stock On Hand, for a total of 3 operations, all of them reads. Authentication runs on an API ID and an API Key stored once as an n8n credential, which is a saved login that every workflow on the instance can pick from a dropdown.

Start with the case most warehouses ask for first: a stock list that arrives on its own. A Schedule Trigger fires each morning, the node runs stockOnHand.getAll with Return All switched on, and every line lands in Google Sheets. The buyer opens one tab instead of logging into Unleashed.

Second, a single site to watch. Set Warehouse Code on the same operation so only one warehouse comes back, then send the result to Slack for the team that picks orders there. Same node, one filter, a very different message.

Third, order follow-up. Run salesOrder.getAll with Order Status on Completed and Modified Since pointing at yesterday, and you get the orders that closed in the last day. Summarize them in a Gmail message, or match them against the store orders you already pull from WooCommerce.

Whatever sits outside those 3 operations goes through the HTTP Request node. It calls any endpoint of the Unleashed API and reuses the same credential through n8n's predefined authentication, so there is nothing new to set up and no second login to manage.

Two habits save time while building. Return All keeps asking the API for the next page until nothing is left; leave it off and Limit decides how many items the next step ever sees. And on sales orders, Order Number overrides every other filter the moment it holds a value, which is exactly what you want for a lookup and confusing when you forgot to clear it. The n8n training goes through that kind of wiring if workflows are becoming a weekly habit.

Connect

How do you connect Unleashed Software to n8n?

  1. 01

Open the API access screen in Unleashed

In Unleashed, go to Integrations > Unleashed API Access. That screen holds the two values n8n asks for: the API ID and the API Key. One catch before you look for them: the screen only opens for an Unleashed account owner, so a standard user account will not show it. Keep the page open, the key is easier to copy than to retype.

  2. 02

Store both values as an n8n credential

In n8n, open the Credentials menu and create an Unleashed Software credential, then paste the API ID and the API Key into their fields and save. A credential is created once and reused everywhere: every later workflow, on n8n Cloud or on a self-hosted instance, picks it from the node's dropdown instead of asking for the key again.

  3. 03

Add the node and choose what it reads

Drop the Unleashed Software node into a workflow, select the credential you just saved, then pick the resource, Sales Order or Stock On Hand, and the operation under it. Unleashed has no trigger node in n8n, so put something in front: a Schedule Trigger running at a fixed interval, an n8n Webhook called by another service, or the trigger of a different app in your stack.

Actions

What can the Unleashed Software node do?

The Unleashed Software node exposes 3 operations across 2 resources. For each one: the node as you configure it in n8n, the required fields, and our field notes.

Sales Order

01

Get many sales orders

salesOrder.getAll

What you see in n8n

Notes & use cases

Returns the sales orders held in Unleashed and passes them to the next step as items.

Key parameters

  • Return All: switched on, n8n walks through every page the API returns. Left off, Limit sets the maximum number of orders that come back.
  • Order Status: pick among Backordered, Completed, Deleted, Parked and Placed. Leave the filter empty and Deleted orders stay out by default.
  • Order Number: returns one order only, and it overrides every other filter as soon as it holds a value.
Use cases
a Monday recap of everything marked Completed, dropped into a spreadsheet the sales lead already reads.

Stock On Hand

02

Get a stock on hand

stockOnHand.get

What you see in n8n

Notes & use cases

Reads one stock on hand record and hands back a single item instead of the whole list.

Key parameters

  • Product ID: the only field this operation exposes, and it is optional. Feed it from an earlier step with an expression such as {{ $json.field }}, which is how n8n reads a value off the incoming item.
Use cases
an internal form where a rep types one product and gets the record back in seconds. It also works as a quick check inside a longer flow, before a step that assumes the product is already in Unleashed.
03

Get many stocks on hand

stockOnHand.getAll

What you see in n8n

Notes & use cases

Lists stock on hand records, one item per line, ready to be filtered, counted or exported.

Key parameters

  • Return All: on for a full export, off to stop at Limit.
  • Warehouse Code or Warehouse Name: narrows the answer to one warehouse, by code or by name.
  • As at Date: returns the stock on hand for a specific date.
  • Is Assembled: decides whether AvailableQty also counts the quantity that can be assembled.
Use cases
a nightly export of the whole catalog into a sheet the finance team reconciles against.

FAQ

Unleashed Software and n8n, the questions that come up

01Is the Unleashed Software n8n integration free?
Yes, on the n8n side. The node is bundled with n8n, so there is nothing to install and nothing extra to pay for it, whether you run n8n Cloud or self-host the Community Edition under the Sustainable Use licence. A workflow behaves the same way in both places, so a flow built on a laptop moves to a server without rewriting. What matters on the budget side is the plan you hold on the automation platform itself, and that is a separate question from the node.
02What credentials does the Unleashed Software node need?
An API key pair. Unleashed asks for two values, an API ID and an API Key, and both sit in Integrations > Unleashed API Access inside Unleashed. There is one condition: only an account owner can see that screen, so a standard user will have to ask. In n8n, both values go into a single Unleashed Software credential created from the Credentials menu. That credential is saved once and offered in the dropdown of every node that needs it afterwards, so you never paste the key twice.
03What are the limits of the Unleashed Software node?
It covers 3 operations across 2 resources, Sales Order and Stock On Hand, and all of them read data. For anything that falls outside those 3 operations, the HTTP Request node calls any endpoint of the Unleashed API and reuses the exact same credential through n8n's predefined authentication. The other thing to watch is volume. With Return All off, Limit caps how many records the next step receives, and a workflow that looks incomplete is often just a Limit left at its default value.
04Does the Unleashed Software node react in real time?
There is no Unleashed trigger node in n8n, so nothing pushes data into a workflow on its own. A workflow that touches Unleashed starts somewhere else: a Schedule Trigger running at a fixed interval, an n8n Webhook called by another service, or the trigger of a different app. A webhook here is simply a URL that a service calls when something happens on its side. Pair the schedule with the Modified Since filter and each run picks up only what changed since the previous one.
05n8n or Make for Unleashed Software?
It comes down to four things, and neither tool wins on all of them. Hosting first: n8n runs on your own server or on n8n Cloud, while Make is hosted only. Data control follows from that, since a self-hosted instance keeps the order and stock data on infrastructure you own. Cost model next: Make bills per operation, which is worth modeling before a workflow loops over a full stock list. Visual logic last, and that one is personal taste. Try the same flow on both and keep the one you can debug fastest.
