Bedrijfsdata n8n integrationAutomate Bedrijfsdata with n8n.

Dutch company records, read straight from a workflow. The Bedrijfsdata n8n integration adds 32 operations over 8 resources: company profiles, employees, news, live web retrieval and validation. It has no trigger, so a Schedule or a Webhook starts the run.

Community node This node is not shipped with n8n: it is a community package (@bedrijfsdatanl/n8n-nodes-bedrijfsdata) you install from Settings › Community nodes on a self-hosted instance. npm

Why automate

What does the Bedrijfsdata n8n integration actually do?

Bedrijfsdata publishes data about companies registered in the Netherlands, and the node turns that catalog into workflow steps. You pick a resource, pick an operation, fill the required fields, and the company profiles, employees, news items or validation results come back as items your next node can read.

Nothing is scheduled for you. The node answers questions, it never watches for changes.

Three jobs come up again and again. The first is list building: companies.get_many searches the database by country and filters, and the result set drops into a spreadsheet through Google Sheets so a sales team can work it. Add Pagination Options when the search returns more than one page.

The second is enrichment of a list you already own. enrich.get takes the scraps you have, a company name, a city, a URL, and matches them against the Dutch dataset. Run it on new signups, then push the matched profile into your email tool with SendGrid or your CRM.

The third is cleaning. The validation resource checks IBAN, BIC, VAT, KvK and LEI numbers, phone numbers, cities, postcodes and URLs one value at a time. Put a validation step before the write step of a workflow and bad records stop at the door, with a message to Slack when one fails.

Reach for the HTTP Request node when the endpoint you need is not in the list. It calls any Bedrijfsdata API endpoint and reuses the same credential through predefined authentication, so you keep one place to manage the key.

Two limits are worth knowing before you build. There is no trigger node, so a Schedule Trigger at a fixed interval or an n8n Webhook called by another service has to start the workflow. And Detailed Output changes the shape of what comes back on several operations, which means a node that worked on an array suddenly gets a single item to parse. Our n8n review covers how the platform handles that kind of branching, and the n8n training walks through building a first enrichment flow end to end.

Connect

How do you connect Bedrijfsdata to n8n?

  1. 01

    Install the community package

The node does not ship with n8n. On a self-hosted instance, open Settings, then Community nodes, and install the npm package @bedrijfsdatanl/n8n-nodes-bedrijfsdata, currently version 0.1.9. On n8n Cloud only verified community nodes can be installed, so check that status before you plan around it. Once the package is installed, Bedrijfsdata appears in the node panel like any other.

  2. 02

    Create the credential once

A credential is the stored set of secrets n8n uses to talk to an API. Open the Credentials menu, create the Bedrijfsdata credential, and save it. It lives outside the workflow, so every Bedrijfsdata node you add afterwards can pick it from its dropdown instead of holding its own copy of the key. The credential documentation sits at docs.bedrijfsdata.nl.

  3. 03

Run one operation as a test

Drop a Bedrijfsdata node on the canvas, select the credential, choose the Company resource and the Get operation, and paste a known Bedrijfsdata.nl ID into Bedrijfsdata.nl ID. Execute the single node. A profile in the output panel means the key and the package both work, and you can wire the rest of the workflow around it.

Actions

What can the Bedrijfsdata node do?

The Bedrijfsdata node exposes 32 operations across 8 resources. For each one: the node as you configure it in n8n, the required fields, and our field notes.

Company

3 operations
01

Get company

companies.get

What you see in n8n

Notes & use cases

Retrieves a single company profile from its Bedrijfsdata.nl identifier. This is the read you run once you already know which company you are looking at.

Key parameters

  • Bedrijfsdata.nl ID: the identifier of a specific company, required, usually passed from an earlier step as {{ $json.id }}.
  • Detailed Output: adds details such as credit usage, and produces output that has to be parsed before you can process the company.
Use cases
a support workflow reads the ID stored on a customer account and pulls the current profile before an agent picks up the ticket.
02

Get companies

companies.get_many

What you see in n8n

Notes & use cases

Searches company profiles with filtering, and returns the matches as items. This is the list building operation of the node.

Key parameters

  • Country: required, and The Netherlands (nl) is the value on offer.
  • Basic Filters: search by attributes such as name, employees or organization type.
  • Location Filters: narrow the search down to a registration address.
  • Pagination Options: set how the result pages are walked when the search is wider than one page.
  • Results Breakdown: adds a count of results per category, province or revenue range among them.
Use cases
a weekly prospecting list of companies in one province and one industry, written to a sheet for the sales team.
03

Get parameter suggestions

companies.get_suggest

What you see in n8n

Notes & use cases

Returns the valid filter values behind the text, apps, city and domain fields used by Get Companies. It answers the question of what to type before a search runs.

Key parameters

  • Suggestion Type: required, one of Keywords (Text), Technology (Apps), City (NL only) or Domain Names.
  • Search Query: required, and the first two to four letters usually return relevant suggestions.
  • Output as Individual Items: splits the suggestions into separate items instead of one.
Use cases
a form where a colleague types a city name loosely, and the workflow resolves it to the exact value the search expects.

Data (Advanced)

3 operations
06

Get many employees

advanced_data.get_people

What you see in n8n

Notes & use cases

Returns the employees known for one company. The output feeds contact research rather than a bulk export.

Key parameters

  • Bedrijfsdata.nl ID: required, the company whose employees you retrieve.
  • Search Query: filters the result, and the documentation asks you to be as specific as GDPR compliance demands in your use case.
  • Detailed Output: adds the total number of people found and credit usage, returning a single item.
Use cases
a workflow that looks for one role inside a target account and stops there, instead of pulling a whole staff list.
07

Get many news

advanced_data.get_news

What you see in n8n

Notes & use cases

Pulls news items about a company. Since the node has no trigger, a Schedule step decides how often this runs.

Key parameters

  • Bedrijfsdata.nl ID: required, the company you want news items for.
  • Search Query: narrows the news down to a specific subject.
  • Detailed Output: returns the total number of news items found and credit usage as one item.
Use cases
an account watch that runs every morning over a short list of key clients and posts anything new into a channel.
08

Get many vacancies

advanced_data.get_vacancies

What you see in n8n

Notes & use cases

Retrieves the job openings published by a company. Hiring is a usable signal of budget and direction.

Key parameters

  • Bedrijfsdata.nl ID: required, the company whose vacancies you retrieve.
  • Search Query: keeps only the vacancies matching a term, a job family for instance.
  • Detailed Output: adds the total number of vacancies found and credit usage, as a single item.
Use cases
a recruiting agency scans its prospect list weekly and opens a task when a target starts hiring for a role it staffs.

Enrich

1 operation
09

Enrich company data

enrich.get

What you see in n8n

Notes & use cases

Matches the company data you already hold against the Dutch dataset and returns the enriched profile. Partial input is the normal case here.

Key parameters

  • Country: required, The Netherlands (nl).
  • Company Name and City: the two fields a messy form usually gives you.
  • URL, Email Address and LinkedIn URL: web identifiers that often match more precisely than a name.
  • Detailed Output: adds credit usage and produces output that has to be parsed to reach individual companies.
Use cases
every new trial signup gets its company record completed before it reaches the sales pipeline.

Live Web RAG

3 operations
10

Get RAG domain

rag.get_domain

What you see in n8n

Notes & use cases

Fetches the content of a publicly accessible website from its domain. The text comes back ready to hand to a model or a summarizer.

Key parameters

  • Domain Name: required, the domain of the website to retrieve.
Use cases
a prospect qualification step reads the target site and drafts a first line for the outreach email, instead of an analyst opening thirty tabs.
11

Get RAG URL

rag.get_url

What you see in n8n

Notes & use cases

Retrieves one publicly accessible page rather than a whole site, with control over the format that comes back.

Key parameters

  • URL: required, the exact page to retrieve.
  • Output Options: the collection where the returned formats are configured.
  • Localization Options: sets the country and language to browse from, and can add cleaned HTML, Markdown, raw content or a maximum snippet length.
Use cases
a pricing page is read once a week and the cleaned Markdown is diffed against last week's version.

LLM Template

1 operation
13

Execute llm template

llm.get

What you see in n8n

Notes & use cases

Runs an LLM template you defined on the Bedrijfsdata side and returns the generated content. The template does the retrieval, you pass it a subject.

Key parameters

  • Template ID: required, found in your Bedrijfsdata.nl Developers Platform account under LLM templates.
  • Provider API Key: required, the key for the model your template uses.
  • Provider Endpoint: the model endpoint URL, required depending on the model.
  • Template Parameters: feeds the template a company ID, a domain, a search query or a URL.
Use cases
a one paragraph company summary generated for each row of a prospect list before an SDR calls.

Other Data

8 operations
14

Get bag data

data_misc.get_bag

What you see in n8n

Notes & use cases

Returns Dutch BAG data for an address, the national register of buildings and addresses.

Key parameters

  • Postcode: required, the postcode of the address.
  • House Number: required, and kept separate from the postcode.
  • Suffix: the addition to the house number, such as 2 or A, which matters in buildings split into units.
Use cases
a field service workflow resolves the exact unit at a delivery address before a technician is dispatched.
15

Get DNS scan

data_misc.get_dns

What you see in n8n

Notes & use cases

Reads a domain's DNS records directly, straight from the source rather than from a cached profile. It describes the technical setup behind a website, the mail and hosting side of it, rather than the company that owns the name.

Key parameters

  • Domain Name: required, the domain to scan.
Use cases
a deliverability audit that scans the domains of a client portfolio and opens a ticket when a record is missing.
16

Get eu tenders

data_misc.get_tender

What you see in n8n

Notes & use cases

Queries the European tender database and returns the publications that match your terms. Public sector demand, checked on a schedule instead of by hand, since nothing here pushes a notification to you.

Key parameters

  • Search Query: required, the terms used to retrieve EU tenders.
Use cases
a daily scan on a few keywords, with each new tender posted to the bid team so nothing is discovered after the deadline.
17

Get exchange rate

data_misc.get_currency

What you see in n8n

Notes & use cases

Returns exchange rates for more than 300 currencies, cryptocurrencies included, expressed against the currency you set as the baseline. One call covers every pair you need from that baseline, so a workflow converts a batch of amounts in a single step.

Key parameters

  • Currency Code: required, the code used as the baseline for the rates.
Use cases
invoices arriving in several currencies are converted to one reporting currency before they are written to the accounting sheet.
18

Get password leaks

data_misc.get_password

What you see in n8n

Notes & use cases

Tells you how many times a password has appeared in known leaks. Both parameters are optional, so nothing forces you to send the clear value.

Key parameters

  • Password (SHA1): the hashed password, and the recommended way to run the check.
  • Password: the clear password, accepted but harder to justify inside a workflow log.
Use cases
an onboarding flow hashes the chosen password, checks it, and asks for another one when the count comes back above zero.
19

Get property information

data_misc.get_property

What you see in n8n

Notes & use cases

Returns property information, reached either from a company or from an address. Neither input is mandatory, so you choose the entry point.

Key parameters

  • Bedrijfsdata.nl ID: searches from a specific company.
  • Address ID: searches from a Dutch address in the NL{postcode}-{house number} format, for example NL1234AB-150.
Use cases
a commercial real estate team checks the premises behind a lead before booking a site visit.
20

Get web rankings

data_misc.get_webrank

What you see in n8n

Notes & use cases

Collects the global rankings held for a domain, Majestic, CRUX, CloudFlare and DomCop among them. Several sources arrive in one response, which saves stitching together a score from separate tools.

Key parameters

  • Domain Name: required, the domain whose rankings you retrieve.
Use cases
an inbound lead is scored on the visibility of its domain, and the big accounts are routed to a senior rep automatically.
21

Get website performance

data_misc.get_siterank

What you see in n8n

Notes & use cases

Returns data on how a company's website performs and where it ranks in popularity. You can start from the company or from the domain.

Key parameters

  • Domain Name: searches by domain name.
  • Bedrijfsdata.nl ID: searches by the identifier of a specific company.
Use cases
an agency builds a monthly report over its client portfolio and pushes the numbers into a shared dashboard.

Validation & Cleansing

11 operations
22

Geocoding

validation.get_geocoding

What you see in n8n

Notes & use cases

Takes an address written in free form and gives it back validated and formatted, so one messy text field turns into usable geographic data. However the person typed it, the response arrives in a predictable shape.

Key parameters

  • Geocoding: required, the free form address to resolve, often {{ $json.address }} from the incoming item.
  • Country (ISO 3166-1 Alpha-2): optional code such as NL or BE that narrows the lookup to one country.
Use cases
a trade show badge export reaches the CRM with its address column already cleaned up, instead of being retyped by hand.
23

Validate bic number

validation.get_bic

What you see in n8n

Notes & use cases

Checks a BIC number and reports whether it holds up, before it travels any further through a finance workflow. One field in, one verdict out.

Key parameters

  • BIC Number: required, the BIC to validate, usually mapped from the banking block of a form with {{ $json.bic }}.
Use cases
a supplier onboarding flow tests the bank details a vendor submitted and returns the form automatically when the BIC does not check out, leaving the finance team out of it.
24

Validate city

validation.get_city

What you see in n8n

Notes & use cases

Confirms that a city name is real and hands back the reference form of it. Coverage is global here, not limited to the Netherlands.

Key parameters

  • City: required, the city to validate.
  • Country (ISO 3166-1 Alpha-2): required, the country code the city belongs to, for example nl or us.
Use cases
webinar registrations where attendees typed their own city get normalised before the list is segmented by region, so two spellings of one place stop counting twice.
25

Validate dutch vat number

validation.get_vat

What you see in n8n

Notes & use cases

Runs a Dutch VAT number, the btw-nummer, through validation and says whether it is well formed. Only Dutch numbers fall inside this operation.

Key parameters

  • Dutch VAT Number: required, the btw-nummer to validate.
Use cases
a self serve signup that claims a Dutch business account is checked at submission, and accounts whose VAT number fails wait in a review queue rather than being invoiced under the wrong tax treatment.
26

Validate email address

validation.get_email

What you see in n8n

Notes & use cases

Applies a basic validation pass to an email address. The check stays at the format level, so read the result as a signal rather than a deliverability verdict.

Key parameters

  • Email Address: required, the address to validate, in the shape name@email.com.
Use cases
addresses collected by a landing page are screened on the way into the mailing list, so obvious typos never reach the sending tool.
27

Validate iban number

validation.get_iban

What you see in n8n

Notes & use cases

Verifies an IBAN and returns whether the account number stands up to inspection. Worth a step anywhere money is about to move on something a human typed.

Key parameters

  • IBAN Number: required, the IBAN to validate.
Use cases
a payout request arriving from a partner portal is validated first, and only the requests that pass are written to the accounting sheet for the next payment run.
28

Validate kv k number

validation.get_kvk

What you see in n8n

Notes & use cases

Examines a Kamer van Koophandel number and signals whether it is valid. That Chamber of Commerce number is the hinge most Dutch B2B records turn on.

Key parameters

  • Kamer Van Koophandel (KvK) Number: required, the KvK number to validate.
Use cases
a lead form that asks for a company registration number is checked in flight, so sales never chase a prospect whose KvK number was mistyped by a single digit.
29

Validate lei number

validation.get_lei

What you see in n8n

Notes & use cases

Assesses a Legal Entity Identifier and states whether it is valid. A broken LEI is hard to spot by eye even though it travels through the whole of financial reporting.

Key parameters

  • Legal Entity Identifiers (LEI) Number: required, the LEI to validate.
Use cases
a counterparty list imported from a spreadsheet is swept row by row, and entries whose LEI fails are flagged for a compliance officer to resolve.
30

Validate phone number

validation.get_phone

What you see in n8n

Notes & use cases

Validates phone numbers worldwide and tells you whether the one supplied is usable. Naming the country removes the ambiguity when a number carries no international prefix.

Key parameters

  • Phone Number: required, the number to validate.
  • Country (ISO 3166-1 Alpha-2): optional code such as nl or us that says which numbering plan to assume.
Use cases
an SMS campaign filters its audience upfront, so the list handed to the sending provider no longer carries numbers that would bounce.
31

Validate postcode

validation.get_postcode

What you see in n8n

Notes & use cases

Weighs a postcode against the format its country actually uses and returns the outcome. The coverage is global, so this is not a Dutch only check.

Key parameters

  • Postcode: required, the postcode to validate.
  • Country (ISO 3166-1 Alpha-2): required, the country code the postcode belongs to, for example nl or us.
Use cases
an ecommerce back office screens shipping addresses before labels are printed, which cuts down the parcels that come back undelivered.
32

Validate URL

validation.get_url

What you see in n8n

Notes & use cases

Tests a URL and reports whether it holds together, before a broken address is stored, shared or clicked. It is a quick guard on any field where someone was free to paste whatever they had to hand, and it costs one step in the workflow.

Key parameters

  • URL: required, the URL to validate.
Use cases
website fields collected in a partner directory are tried before publication, so the public listing stops pointing at addresses that go nowhere.

FAQ

Bedrijfsdata and n8n, the questions that come up

01Is the Bedrijfsdata n8n integration free?
It depends on which side you look at. n8n charges nothing for the node itself, but this one is a community node: it does not ship with n8n, and you install the npm package @bedrijfsdatanl/n8n-nodes-bedrijfsdata from Settings, then Community nodes, on a self-hosted instance. n8n Cloud only accepts verified community nodes, so a Cloud workspace is not a guarantee. What Bedrijfsdata itself costs is a separate question, and several operations expose a Detailed Output option that reports credit usage, which tells you the account is metered on their side.
02What credentials do you need for Bedrijfsdata in n8n?
One credential, created once. In n8n a credential is the stored set of secrets used to reach an API, and you create it from the Credentials menu rather than inside a workflow. Every Bedrijfsdata node you add afterwards offers it in a dropdown, so ten nodes share one entry and you rotate the key in a single place. The node itself has no authentication selector, which means there is nothing to choose between methods. The credential documentation lives at docs.bedrijfsdata.nl, and the same credential is reused by an HTTP Request node through predefined authentication.
03What are the limits of the Bedrijfsdata node?
Three, mainly. There is no trigger, so the node answers questions but never announces a change. Detailed Output rewrites the shape of the response on several operations, returning one item to parse instead of an array, which breaks a downstream node built for a list. And the coverage is Dutch: the Country parameter on company search and enrichment offers The Netherlands, and BAG, KvK and VAT validation are Dutch registers. If an endpoint you need is missing from the 32 operations, the HTTP Request node calls it directly and reuses the same credential.
04Can a workflow react in real time with Bedrijfsdata?
Not on its own. Bedrijfsdata has no trigger node in n8n, so nothing on that side can start a workflow. You start it another way. A Schedule Trigger runs at a fixed interval, which fits a nightly enrichment pass or a weekly prospect list. An n8n Webhook gives you a URL that another service calls, so your CRM or your signup form can fire the flow the moment a record is created. The trigger of another tool works just as well as the entry point, with the Bedrijfsdata node placed after it.
05n8n or Make for Bedrijfsdata?
Four criteria decide it. Hosting: n8n runs self-hosted with Docker or npm, or on n8n Cloud, while Make is hosted only. That matters here, because installing a community node requires a self-hosted instance unless the node is verified. Data control: with a self-hosted instance, the company records never leave your servers. Cost model: Make bills per operation, which adds up when a search returns hundreds of profiles. Visual logic: both build flows on a canvas, and the choice there comes down to habit more than capability.
