Higgsfield Review 2026

Higgsfield is worth it if you ship short videos every week and want to switch between models (Kling, Seedance, Veo, Nano Banana, the in-house Soul models) without paying for five subscriptions. The Plus plan, $49 a month for 1,000 credits, unlocks every model and covers about 30 five-second clips at 720p.

It is a poor fit if you make one or two videos a month, if you only use one model, or if you plan to hit client deadlines on "unlimited" generations. Credits don't roll over, and refunds only exist within 7 days, before your first generation. Our score: 4.2/5. The model lineup is the best on the market; credits and billing pull the score down.

Our Higgsfield review in a nutshell

Romain Cochard
Reviewed by

CEO of Hack'celeration

Higgsfield is an AI video and image platform that puts models from the big labs (Kling, Seedance, Google Veo, Nano Banana, FLUX, GPT Image) behind one login, alongside its own tools: Soul for images, Cinema Studio for camera moves, LipSync and Higgsfield Speak for talking characters, and Marketing Studio for UGC-style ads. It was founded in late 2023 by Alex Mashrabov, formerly head of generative AI at Snap, and says it has around 15 million users.

Its strength is choice. You write one prompt, run it on two or three models, keep the best take, and pay for all of it from a single credit balance. Its weakness is that same balance: an 8-second Veo 3 clip with audio burns about 58 credits, close to a third of the Starter plan, and every retake costs full price. On Trustpilot it averages 4.0/5 across more than 5,000 reviews, yet 19% are one-star, nearly always about a denied refund, a surprise renewal or a painfully slow unlimited mode. Our verdict: 4.2/5. Go with Plus if you publish weekly; stick with a direct subscription if one model is all you need.

How much Higgsfield costs, plan by plan

Higgsfield sells credits. Each plan gives you a monthly balance, and each generation takes a number of credits that depends on the model, the length and the resolution. Prices below come from Higgsfield's official 2026 pricing, in US dollars per month, before tax. Annual billing exists, but the exact annual price isn't published: check which option is selected at checkout.

For reference: a 5-second Seedance 2.0 clip at 720p costs 30 credits, an 8-second Veo 3 clip with audio about 58, and a Nano Banana Pro image 2.

AI review summarySynthesised from 15 reviews

These 15 reviews, published on G2, average 4.8/5, and every reviewer recommends Higgsfield. Most come from content creators and small marketing teams who praise the creative freedom, the camera moves, lip sync in their own language, having many models in one place, and the MCP connection with Claude. The same downsides keep showing up: high prices on some generations, credit-based billing, slow generations at peak hours, occasional bugs and too few beginner tutorials. The sample skews very positive; on Trustpilot, where reviews number in the thousands, close to one in five is one-star, mostly over billing.

I use Higgsfield to create cinematic videos and experiment with camera motions, which really helps bring my creative ideas to life. I especially enjoy exploring storytelling and visual concepts with its AI-powered tools, making it easy and enjoyable to explore new ideas. It's great for encouraging creativity and continuous learning, giving me the confidence to try new ideas. The platform allows me to move from an idea to a visual concept much faster, focusing more on creativity and experimentation. The setup was fairly easy, enabling me to start creating quickly. I’ve enjoyed my experience so far and continue to use it as part of my creative workflow. I would like to see more tutorials and learning resources for beginners. More step-by-step tutorials for filmmaking, ad creation, and practical projects would help beginners learn faster and understand how to use the tools effectively.

I've had a great experience with Higgsfield so far. The platform is powerful, intuitive, and constantly improving, making it a pleasure to work with. Everything was fine, don't know, I really liked experience and service

What I like most is how smoothly the Claude Code MCP connection works. We use Higgsfield through this connection as part of our workflows, and the output quality has been great, often even on the first try. Sometimes when generating videos through Claude the queues are really long. However, we did not try quick mode yet to conserve the tokens.

Right from the beginning, Higgsfield has kept storytellers in mind while designing their value proposition. The features, the presets, the user interface designed for productivity and now with Cinema Studio and Super Computer, it has become the go to application for me. Not to forget the seamless integration of Claude and with all the best image and video models available, it is a complete package for any storyteller. Never thought about... don't think there's anything to dislike about them, as yet.

Their style is good, with a simple UI/UX. Support was also very quick and kind in solving my problem. I also feel there’s some AI enhancement in a few tools, which helps create the best visuals. The price isn’t the best. And Sometimes I feel the AI ( performance ) is a little slow generating

  • Senior CompositorJun 1, 2026

They’re always updating workflows and introducing new tools that help enhance our overall experience. Sometimes it’s a little buggy, and some of the workflows need to give the user a bit more control over the final result.

The Hack'celeration verdict

We compared Higgsfield on five criteria.

One score per criterion, set against Runway, Luma, Pika and Freepik Spaces, with the strengths and the catches.

Criterion 01 · Ease of use

Is Higgsfield easy to pick up?

4.3/5

For a first video, yes. Pick a studio (Create Video, Cinema Studio, Soul, LipSync), type a prompt or drop in an image, choose a model, and the credit cost shows before you run it. New and popular models are flagged, so you don't have to dig through docs to know where to start.

Day to day, it gets messier. Higgsfield adds models and studios almost every month, and the interface has filled up: one Trustpilot reviewer calls it "the most confusing UI" they have seen. You also need to understand three things before paying: credits, models that are "unlimited" for 7 or 365 days, and a queue that moves at different speeds depending on whether you pay in credits. None of it is explained in one place.

Our advice: pick two video models and one image model, and ignore the rest for the first month. Time spent trying everything is paid for in credits.

Criterion 02 · Value for money

Is Higgsfield worth the money?

3.6/5

It depends on your volume. The per-credit price drops as you move up: about $0.075 on Starter ($15 for 200 credits), $0.049 on Plus ($49 for 1,000) and $0.043 on Ultra ($129 for 3,000). On Plus, 1,000 credits buy roughly 28 five-second Seedance 2.5 clips at 720p, or 12 at 1080p, if every clip works on the first try. That's where the math breaks: a failed take costs full price, and a shot that needs four attempts costs four times its sticker price.

Three rules add up. Plan credits don't roll over, so whatever you don't use by renewal is gone. Credit packs and Auto-Refill credits expire after 90 days. And refunds are only possible within 7 days of your first purchase, if no credits were used, with a service fee of up to 6%. Renewals are never refunded.

Against a direct subscription, Higgsfield wins if you rotate between several models: one account replaces Kling, Veo access and an image generator. It loses if you only use one model: several Reddit users find a direct Kling plan cheaper for Kling alone.

Criterion 03 · Features and depth

What can Higgsfield actually do?

4.7/5

This is its strongest point, and the reason it earns 4.2 despite the rest. Higgsfield brings together video models from the big labs (Kling 3.0, Seedance 2.0 and 2.5, Google Veo 3 with audio, Wan) and image models (Nano Banana and Nano Banana Pro, Seedream, FLUX.2, GPT Image). New models arrive quickly, and Plus and Ultra get priority access.

The in-house studios are what set it apart. Cinema Studio applies camera moves (dolly, pan, zoom) to a generated scene. Soul produces images in a consistent style and characters you can reuse across videos. LipSync and Higgsfield Speak make a face talk over an audio track, which several G2 reviewers praise in their own language. Marketing Studio builds UGC-style ads: 70 credits for 10 seconds at 720p, 160 at 1080p.

Two limits. Starter only opens a selection of models, and start and end frame control, handy for stitching two shots together, starts on Plus. And Higgsfield doesn't organize your files: no team library with search or versions, which hurts a studio producing at volume.

Criterion 04 · Customer support

Can you count on Higgsfield support?

3.4/5

On technical issues, mostly yes. G2 reviews and a good share of Trustpilot reviews describe support that replies fast, sometimes within minutes, and that has unstuck frozen renders or returned credits after a failed generation. Failed generations are usually refunded automatically anyway.

Money is another story. Close to one Trustpilot review in five is one-star, and they mostly describe denied refunds, charges right after cancelling, or an unlimited mode that slowed to a crawl. In late 2025, after a heavily discounted "unlimited" offer, users saw generations slow down until the app was barely usable; Higgsfield blamed automated accounts, shut down around 40,000 of them, says it refunded $1.35 million, and its CEO publicly admitted mistakes.

The rules are spelled out in the terms: refunds within 7 days with no credits used, automatic renewal, cancellation from the billing page or by email, and access kept until the end of the paid period. Know them before you pay and you'll need support a lot less.

Criterion 05 · Integrations

Does Higgsfield plug into your stack?

4.0/5

Better than you'd expect from a creator tool. Higgsfield has an API: you create keys in the console, there are official Python and TypeScript SDKs, and requests run asynchronously with a status URL or a webhook. Generated files stay available for at least 7 days. There is also an official CLI and an MCP connector: in Claude, add a custom connector with the Higgsfield server URL and generate images and video right from the chat, using your account's credits. Several G2 reviewers single out that connector.

The limits are in the business model. The API has its own dollar balance, so your subscription credits don't work there. Unlimited models only run on the website, not through MCP, the CLI or the API, and the terms ban automated use of unlimited mode. There is no ready-made Zapier or Make connector either: to wire Higgsfield into a spreadsheet or a publishing tool, you go through the API with n8n or a script.

Pay the right price, dodge the traps

Higgsfield without nasty surprises

Most negative reviews are about lost credits or a charge you can't get back. Here are six habits, drawn from Higgsfield's terms and from user feedback, to pay a fair price.

01

Draft at 720p on a fast model

Big saving

A 5-second Seedance 2.0 clip costs 30 credits at 720p, 60 at 1080p and 130 at 4K. Veo 3 Fast with audio costs about 22 credits for 8 seconds, against about 58 for Veo 3. Lock your framing, motion and prompt at low resolution, then render the final version in high resolution once.

02

Decide within 7 days, before your first generation

Trap

Refunds only apply to your first purchase, within 7 days, and only if no credits were used. A single clip is enough to lose that right, and a fee of up to 6% may apply. If you're unsure, explore the studios on the Free plan first, then take Starter for a month rather than an annual plan.

03

Check monthly or annual at checkout

Trap

Several complaints come from users who thought they were paying monthly and ended up on an annual plan. Reread the billing period right before you confirm, then put the renewal date in your calendar: the subscription renews automatically, and a renewal is never refunded. To stop, use the billing page in your account or email support from the account address.

04

Don't build a client deadline on unlimited mode

Good to know

"Unlimited" models run on a separate queue, behind credit-paid jobs, with no guaranteed speed: users report 25 to 30 minutes per generation at peak times. Unlimited only works on the website, not through the API or MCP, and some models are only unlimited for 7 days. Use it to explore images; keep credits for anything that has to ship on time.

05

Buy credits in small batches

Saving

Plan credits vanish at each renewal, and pack or Auto-Refill credits expire 90 days after purchase. Higgsfield spends plan credits first, then the rest starting with whatever expires soonest. Turn on Auto-Refill only during a big project, then switch it off; it isn't available on Starter.

Pro

Commercial use is included from Starter, never on Free. Higgsfield doesn't claim ownership of your videos and lets you transfer them to a client. But your content may be used to train its models (except under an Enterprise contract), another user may get an output close to yours, and it's on you to clear rights to any faces, voices and brands you use.

Who is it for?

Is Higgsfield right for you?

Three profiles, three answers. Then the checklist before you pay.

Yes, if you publish short videos every week

Creators, social media managers, small agencies shipping ads: you get the model choice, the camera and lip sync studios, and one account to manage. Aim for Plus at $49: every model, six videos at once and start and end frame control. To learn how to frame your prompts, our Higgsfield training starts from your real use case.

Think twice if you make one or two videos a month

Credits that expire each cycle make the subscription expensive for occasional use. Pika at $8 or Krea's free plan are enough to experiment. And if you only like one model, its direct subscription is often cheaper.

Think twice if you need to industrialize for clients

The API is billed separately, unlimited is website only, and there is no team library. For a studio, budget at least $158 a month on Team, and plan where your footage will live: our Shade vs Higgsfield comparison shows the gap between generating and organizing. To have the workflow built for your team, see our Higgsfield agency.

FAQ · 8 questions

Frequently asked questions

  • Is Higgsfield free?
Yes, there's a Free plan, but it's for exploring, not producing. One generation at a time, no fast track and, above all, no commercial use: a video made on Free can't go to a client or into an ad. The first paid plan, Starter, costs $15 a month for 200 credits.
  • Is Higgsfield legit or a scam?
It's a real company, founded in late 2023, backed by well-known investors such as Accel and Menlo Ventures, with millions of users. Complaints are about billing and unlimited mode, not about the service failing to deliver. Only pay on higgsfield.ai: copycat sites use the brand.
  • How many videos do you get with a Higgsfield plan?
It depends on the model. Dividing plan credits by the official per-model costs, we estimate roughly 6 five-second Seedance 2.0 clips at 720p on Starter, about 30 on Plus and about 100 on Ultra. With Veo 3 and audio, at about 58 credits per 8 seconds, Plus gives only around 17 clips. Divide by your average takes per usable shot: that's your real volume.
  • Is Higgsfield unlimited really unlimited?
Not in the way you'd hope. Unlimited models don't deduct credits, but they run on a slower queue behind paid jobs, with no guaranteed speed, and automated use is banned. Some are only unlimited for 7 days, and unlimited only works on the website.
  • How do I cancel Higgsfield and get a refund?
Cancel from the billing page in your account or by emailing support from the account address; you keep access until the paid period ends. A refund is only possible within 7 days of your first purchase, if no credits were used. Renewals are never refunded.
  • Can I use Higgsfield videos for clients?
Yes, on every paid plan: Higgsfield doesn't claim ownership of outputs and lets you transfer them. Two caveats: your content may train its models unless you're on Enterprise, and another user may get a similar output. Also clear rights to any faces and voices you use.
  • Can I use Higgsfield from Claude or via API?
Yes. The official MCP connector is added in Claude as a custom connector and draws on your paid subscription's credits. The API, with Python and TypeScript SDKs, has its own dollar balance: subscription credits don't apply there. Unlimited mode works through neither.
  • Higgsfield or Runway: which one should I pick?
Pick Higgsfield to compare several models on one prompt and make ads or talking videos. Pick Runway for finer editing control and credits that roll over for a month on Max. For similar money, Runway Standard at $15 gives 625 credits and Starter 200, but credits aren't worth the same from one tool to the other.
